Philippa Stroud reported to be appointed as special advisor

It has been posted in Twitter, that Philippa Stroud has been appointed by IDS as one of his special advisors.
If this is true, we are seeing that the supposedly gay friendly Tory party is reverting to its true roots. One steeped in the memory of s28 and homophobia.

Wow, they really won’t take no for an answer will they. IDS, a party leader rejected by the electorate, appoints as an advisor a woman rejected by the electorate to advise in issues similar to those she was rejected for holding repugnant views on. In other news; IDS wanted to discontinue methadone programmes because… er… people with no drug rehab training in CCHQ thought it was a good idea?
you hit the nail on the head, in a manner of speaking.
As much as the Tories try to be pink and fluffy, we are still facing the ingrained bigotry and right wing so-called ‘family values’ views, which we all hated them for under Thatcher and Major.
The good thing of this coalition is that we (the LibDems that is) will be there to keep a check on the more extreme of their views from actualising as policy!
