Theresa May – introduction to her voting on equality issues (part I)
Here is a very quick analysis of the voting record for Theresa May (as recorded in Hansard). (clue: her votes are in RED - minority means NO, or in other words, against the bill)
NOT impressive is it?
Even more, if you start looking at where she has voted against the Tory whip, it is even more scary. For instance, she was a rebel against the Tory vote of Aye for reformation of the Upper House.
A more detailed analysis of her voting record will come in a day or so, along with a comparison against the new cabinet, so we can see where they all stand on issues which to LibDems and others, are important!

Very revealing. Just noticed she’s the MP for Maidenhead, or Maidendead as it is often known! Awful place, awful woman.
I am planning for articles about the entire tory cabinet, revealing their voting record in relation to social and equality issues based legislation.
A useful summary, she’ll certainly have to be kept an eye on.
Thanks Matthew. I am working on a wider ranging article addressing the voting patterns of the entire cabinet (and so to show the balance, I WILL include the LibDems in this too), so we all can see what sort of people Cameron has appointed into the inner sanctum of power!
Also, I am working on a ‘equality’ meter which will show the degree of support or condemnation from these said same MP’s, based on their previous voting records. Am working on the code to determine the workings of this at the moment – will be after the weekend I think!
